Get Started
You're seeing the Get Started page because you haven't verified any domains yet, or reports haven't started coming in for your verified domains. To start capturing reports, please verify at least one domain by following the steps below.
Step 1 - Select Domain
Choose your Primary Domain. We use your primary domain for default selection on reports. This can be changed at any time.
Step 2 - Verify Domain
Next, add the required DNS record so DMARC Manager can confirm ownership of the domain and begin managing its DMARC policy.
The instructions show the record to add:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Record Type | The type of DNS record to create — a CNAME record by default. |
| Host | The host name to add the record under (_dmarc). |
| Value | The record value to enter, provided by DMARC Manager. Use the copy button to copy it exactly. |
Note: Take note of the required underscores (_) in the host and full-stops in the record value.
If DMARC Manager finds an existing DMARC record for the domain, it flags this with an "Existing DMARC Record Found" message and shows both the record to remove and the new record to add in its place.
Configure DNS with Entri
If your domain's DNS is hosted with a supported provider, click Configure DNS with Entri to add the record automatically instead of editing your DNS manually. Entri is a third-party service that connects securely to your DNS provider and creates the record for you. Select Learn More to read about Entri before using it.
Use TXT Record (Not Recommended)
Expand Use TXT Record (Not Recommended) to see an alternative raw TXT record you can add instead of the CNAME record. This method allows partial verification and lets DMARC Manager start processing DMARC aggregate reports, but it does not support full verification or DMARC record delegation — any changes you make to DMARC settings afterwards will not take effect until you switch to the recommended CNAME record.
Once the record is in place, select Verify to confirm DMARC Manager can see it.
Step 3 - Awaiting First Report
Once your domain is verified, reports will begin to populate — though it can take up to 72 hours for data to appear. Reports can only be retrieved for domains that are active and verified. Select Manage Domains to visit the Domains page and verify the rest of your domains.
