Email Senders Report Overview

The Email Senders interface shows all aggregate DMARC reports (RUA) captured for a given domain. Sending IP addresses are grouped into named senders (for example, all Google sending IPs are grouped under the sender "Google"), making it easier to understand which services are sending email on behalf of your domain.

The page defaults to the Compliance report. Use the navigation menu at the top to switch between the Compliance, Deliverability, and Reputation views.

Note: If no reporting data has been received for a domain, a "No Reporting Data Available" message is shown. It can take up to 72 hours for data to appear after DMARC is configured. Click Configure DMARC Settings to go to the DMARC settings page for the domain.

Report Filters

All reports display data based on the following filters:

  • Domain — select the domain to analyse
  • Date Range — select the date range for received reports
  • Sender Filters — filter by sender category (not shown in the Reputation view):
CategoryDescription
All SendersShow all sending sources regardless of categorisation
ApprovedOnly show senders categorised as approved
ForwarderOnly show senders categorised as forwarder
UnapprovedOnly show senders categorised as unapproved
SuspiciousOnly show senders categorised as suspicious
NoneOnly show senders that have not been categorised

Senders List

The senders list is the main area for analysing and interpreting reporting data. Each row represents a unique email-sending source grouped by name, showing statistics for the selected time period. For each report type, the columns in the senders list change to show data relevant to that view. Expand a sender row to see a breakdown by individual IP address.

Email Sender Categories

DMARC Manager uses categories to sort and label sending sources displayed in your reports and dashboard. You can assign a category to each sender to organise your data.

Note: Categorising a sender only labels it for reporting purposes. It does not affect your SPF record or any email authentication configuration.

CategoryDescription
ApprovedKnown sending services that are authorised to send email for your domain and should appear in your SPF record
ForwarderSources that forward email automatically, such as mailbox rules or distribution lists
UnapprovedSources that are not authorised to send email for your domain
SuspiciousSources that appear suspicious or originate from regions associated with malicious activity; use this to flag senders for further investigation
NoneDefault category for any source that has not yet been categorised; new sources that appear over time will also start in this state
