Domain Management

The domains management interface will list all domains available under a given account, as well as some high level information about the domains.

  • Domain - The domain name
  • Score - Rated on current live DNS record
  • Status - DMARC Record is verified or not
  • Policy - As set in DMARC Manager
  • Type - Active (email sending domain) or Parked (non-email sending domain)

Filtering Domain List

Click the 'Filter' button located to the right of the search field on the domains management interface where all your domains are listed. This will open the list of available filtering options:

  • DMARC Policy

    • None
    • Quarantine
    • Reject
  • DMARC Status

    • Reporting - Fully verified and reporting
    • Not Reporting - Verified but not reporting
    • Not Verified
  • Domain Type

    • Active
    • Parked

Select the relevant criteria and click 'Apply Filter' to instantly refine your domain list. Filters can be used individually or in combination to provide a customized view of your domains.

Bulk Domain Actions

Bulk Domain Updates

Apply changes across multiple or all domains simultaneously, ensuring consistency and saving time. To perform a bulk update select the domains you wish to update by clicking the checkbox next to each domain. Once all domains are selected, select the option 'Run Bulk Update'.

A modal will appear giving a list of properties that can be updated. Select the property you wish to update from the dropdown. Two options are available:

  • DMARC Policy - Change the policy to either none, quarantine, reject
  • Domain Type - Change type to either active or parked

Please note: Some changes cannot be applied to parked domains, and switching a domain to parked can impact its policy settings. Please review all informational messages carefully before making any updates.

Click 'Update Now' after making your selection.

Bulk Export of DNS Setup Instructions

Exporting DNS Setup Instructions for multiple domains provides a convenient way to manage configuration settings and share setup requirements with technical teams or external administrators.

To perform a bulk export, select the domains you wish to export DNS Setup Instruction for, click the checkbox next to each domain. Once all domains are selected, select the option 'Export DNS Setup'.

A modal will appear with the option to select the various DNS records you would like to include in the CSV export. The available options include:

  • DMARC
  • SPF
  • DKIM
  • MTA-STS
  • BIMI

Click 'Export to CSV' select the desired location for the file to be stored and click 'Save'.

Changing Domain Settings

To edit a domain, click the 'Edit' pencil icon of the domain in the listing. This will open the domain settings interface which will allow you to make changes on the specific domain.

The domain displayed in the top left is the domain which settings the user is editing.

In the top right, users have access to additional domain actions:

  • Set as Primary Domain (if not already the Primary Domain) – set the associated domain as the Primary Domain, ensuring this domain is the default domain viewed on all interfaces and dashboards.
  • (Dynamic) Set as Parked/Set as Active – if the domain is set to Active, this will set the domain as Parked. If the domain is set to Parked, this will set the domain to Parked. Note that setting the domain to Parked automatically sets the domain to reject.
  • Sync DNS Records – re-run verification across all records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc.) for the domain.
  • Domain Report – generate a Domain Report for the given domain. These reports give users quick insights in a web format that is sharable with individuals that do not have access to DMARC Manager platform.
  • View Logs – view all actions taken by all users for the associated domain.

In the bottom right, users can take the following actions:

  • Cancel – leave the Domain settings page, losing all changes made since the last save.
  • Save – saves the current settings, while remaining on the current page.
  • Save & Back – saves the current settings, while leaving the Edit Settings page and going back to domains list.

Domain Score

The domain score section indicates your current domain score and may not reflect changes you've made today.

Domain Setup Instructions

While editing domain settings you will have access to the setup required for each of the DNS records (DMARC, SPF, DKIM, BIMI and TLS-RPT).

Below each section the user can find the following information regarding their setup:

  • Verification Status - this shows the verification status of the domain for the record type
  • View Setup Instructions - this shows setup instructions for the selected record type

Share these setup instructions by clicking 'Share setup instructions' and follow the prompts accordingly.

Users can verify whether their setup was successfully published to public DNS by clicking the 'Verify' button.

Clicking 'Back to Settings' returns the user to the previous interface.
