Creating a New Alert

In order to create a new alert there are a few steps that a user will need to complete. Visit the Alerts interface and click 'Add New' button.

1. Select the "Activity" that needs to be monitored

There are various activities a user can choose to monitor for the domain. These are categorized into Status, Configuration, Mail Senders and Reports activities. Below is a list of configurable alerts and a brief explanation of each:

Status

  • DMARC Compliance Score Changed - Notify me when the DMARC Compliance Score has changed
  • Verification Status Changed - Notify me when the DNS delegation verifications passes
  • Setup Re-Verification Failed - Notify me when the DNS delegation re-verification fails

Configuration

  • Changes to Settings - Notify me when settings are changed

Mail Senders

  • Compliance Dropped - Notify me when compliance drops below a threshold
  • Approved Sender Found - Notify me when a new, commonly Approved Sender is detected

Reports

  • Exposure Report - Schedule when you would like to receive the Exposure Report

Depending on the activity you choose, additional setup criteria may be required. For example, setting up an alert for "Verification Status Changed", you'll be required to specify which specific verification activity you want to monitor:

2. Set "Frequency" for activity

The Frequency setting is not available for event based activities. This option may not be available based on the activity you choose to monitor.

Choose how often you would like to receive the notification. Select the Start Date and Frequency.

2. Set "Email" to receive the notification

Add the recipients you would like to notify for specific notification by adding an email address to the 'Recipients' field and clicking '+ Add'.

You can manage each recipient's subscription by editing the recipient

3. Click "Create and Activate"

Finalize the process by clicking Create and Activate. The alert will now appear in the list of alerts with the status "on".
