DNS Lookup
The DNS Lookup tool retrieves the DNS records for any domain. Use the tool menu at the top of the page to switch between DNS Domain Analysis, DNS Lookup, SPF Policy Test, CIDR Calculator and DKIM Generator.
Running a lookup
Enter a Domain name, choose a Lookup type and click Lookup.
| Lookup type | Description |
|---|---|
| DNS | Shows common DNS records for the domain: A, TXT, MX, NS, CNAME, CAA, SOA and SRV. |
| DMARC | Shows the domain's DMARC record. |
| SPF | Opens the SPF Lookup. |
| DKIM | Opens the DKIM Lookup. |
| MTA-STS | Shows the domain's MTA-STS record. |
| TLS-RPT | Shows the domain's TLS-RPT record. |
Records are shown in sections by type, with columns such as Type, Value, TTL, Priority, Port, Weight, Flags and Tag, depending on the record type. SOA records show the Primary nameserver, Admin, Serial, Refresh TTL, Retry TTL, Expire TTL, Minimum TTL and Registered domain.
If nothing is found the page shows No records found. If the lookup failed it shows The lookup failed. Please try again.
