SPF Lookup
The SPF Lookup shows how a domain's SPF record is built and how close it is to the SPF limits. Open it by choosing SPF as the Lookup type in DNS Lookup.
Enter a Domain name and click Lookup. The result shows:
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Status | Whether the SPF record is valid, with the domain it was found on. |
| DNS lookups | The number of DNS lookups the record causes. |
| MX lookups | The number of MX lookups the record causes. |
| Void lookups | The number of lookups that returned no result. |
| Root record size | The size of the top-level record. |
| All | The all mechanism the record ends with. |
Below these, a tree shows the record and every record it includes or redirects to. Click a record to expand the records it references. If no SPF record is found the page shows Record not found.
Note: SPF allows a maximum of 10 DNS lookups. Records that exceed this limit can cause SPF to fail.
