Sender IP Detailed Overview

Investigate the Sender further by expanding the Sender Details and clicking on a specific IP address. This will open a modal with more detailed contextual information about the specific IP Address and host.

IP Overview

The overview page has general information about this specific sending IP and host server.

  • Volume – the reported volume sent from this IP.
  • Compliance – the performance of this IP against DMARC evaluations.
  • Deliverability – the percentage of mails that have been delivered.
  • ISP (Internet Service Provider) – the service provider associated with the sender.
  • Host – the hostname associated with the IP address.
  • Country – the geolocation of the IP address.
  • Sender - the specific service associated with the mail.
  • Organisation – the organization associated with this mail. This is distinct from the Sender in that a single Organization may have multiple Senders associated to it.

Reporters

The reporter's section show which organization sent the platform DMARC reports.

  • Reporter - the company or infrastructure that sent these DMARC reports.
  • Volume - the total reports received from this Reporter.
  • % of Total – the total mail sent from the IP reported by the Reporter as a percentage of all mail mail reported by the IP.
  • Compliance – the performance of mails sent to this reporter against DMARC evaluations

Expanding any Reporter will allow the user to see the following information (if provided by the Reporter):

  • Envelope To
  • Envelope From
  • Header From

Results

The results summary page shows the alignment and authentication details of these senders unique to this specific IP address.

  • SPF Result – the evaluated SPF result:
    • SPF pass or failure.
    • SPF Alignment.
    • SPF Return Path domain.
  • DKIM Result – the received DKIM result:
    • DKIM pass or failure.
    • DKIM Alignment.
    • DKIM Signing domain.
  • DMARC Result – the received DMARC result
  • Published Policy - the DMARC policy active when this email was validated.
  • Action Applied - the policy applied to this email. This is dependent on the published policy and the authentication results.
  • Volume - the total reports received from this Reporter.

Overrides

Recipients can choose to override a published DMARC policy for several reasons. This page shows any overrides applied to these emails by the recipient server, such as ARC (Authenticated Receivers-Chain).

  • Volume - the total reports received from this Reporter.
  • Reporter – the company or infrastructure that sent these DMARC reports.
  • DMARC Result - the received DMARC result
  • Published Policy - the DMARC policy active when this email was validated
  • Action Applied - the policy applied to this email. This is dependent on the published policy and the authentication results.
  • Override Type – the type of override applied
  • Comment – this will show any comments that would be present in the headers of these emails, and are the reasons that the override was applied, such as ARC=FAIL or ARC=PASS.
